Admission to the Degree Course
Admission into +3 (Degree) Classes is done through e-Admission under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) in all Degree/Autonomous Colleges in the State of Odisha.
- e-Admission (Online Admission into +3 Programme) is compulsory in all +3 (Degree) Colleges in the State of Odisha.
- The online Common Application Form is available on the website www.dheorissa.in and can be accessed anywhere with an internet connection. Please read the Common Prospectus carefully before filling the online Common Application Form.

Admission Criteria
Candidates having passed +2 in Arts, Commerce, or Science are eligible to apply for B.A., B.Com., or B.Sc. Programmes.
How to Apply
Invitation for applications is normally published in April/May each year and displayed on the College Notice Board. Selection is done on a merit basis as per the norms specified. Reservation of seats follows Government of Odisha rules.
Syllabus
Earlier, the programme followed the CBCS pattern — a 3-year Degree Course (6 semesters) consisting of 14 Core Courses, 4 General Electives (GE), 2 Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses (AECC), 4 Discipline-Specific Electives (DSE), and 6 Ethics & Value Courses.
From the academic year 2024–25, the programme follows the NEP-2020 pattern — a 4-year Degree Course (8 semesters) consisting of 23 Core Courses, 3 Multidisciplinary Courses (MDC), 2 Ability Enhancement Courses (AEC), 3 Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC), and 4 Value Added Courses (VAC).
Soft copy and hard copy of the syllabus are provided to students.

Vocational Course: 4 credits (Diploma Certificate Level)
Three-Year Degree Course (Single Major and Two Minors)
A 3-year course consisting of 6 semesters with single major and two minor subjects.
Total Credits: 126 (including Core, MDC, AEC, SEC, VAC, and Field Work)
Students with NCC “C” Certificate receive 16 additional credits (Total = 142 Credits).
Three-Year Degree Course (Three Cores without Major)
Students may opt for three equal core subjects without a major.
Total Credits: 126 (plus 16 additional NCC credits if applicable)
Four-Year Honours without Research
Four-Year Course (8 Semesters) with a total of 166 Credits distributed among Core, MDC, AEC, SEC, VAC, and Field Work.
Four-Year Honours with Research
Four-Year Course (8 Semesters) including research work in the final year. Total of 166 Credits (including Research Component).
Note: Core-II and Core-III are interchangeable across semesters.
