The Department of Psychology at Model Degree College, Nuapada was established in 2023 with a vision to promote the scientific study of human behaviour, mental processes, and psychological well-being.
As a growing discipline with immense relevance in today’s world, the department aims to equip students with a deep understanding of psychological theories, research methodologies, and practical applications in various domains including mental health, education, and social behaviour.
Currently, the department has a student strength of 70 and is guided by a dedicated faculty team that combines academic expertise with passion for mentoring.
Beyond academics, students are encouraged to engage in discussions, awareness programs, and interdisciplinary research, fostering a holistic approach to psychology.
