Examination Regulation for Undergraduate Programme (+3 B.A./B.Com./B.Sc.)
Definition of Terms
- These regulations shall be called “Regulations of Examinations” for the students.
- These regulations shall come into force from the academic year 2024-25 (for all batches).
- Mid Semester means the examination held in between the commencement of the course and the semester-end examination.
- End Semester Examination means the examination held at the end of each semester.
Compulsory Registration
- Registration/Form Fill-Up for the semester examination is compulsory.
- All students admitted to this college will be registered by the University.
- A registration/examination roll number will be issued and remain valid till completion of the course.
- Admit cards will be issued for every semester examination.
- Only candidates fulfilling attendance norms (minimum 75%) and other eligibility criteria will be allowed to appear in the examination.
- Examination fees will be collected at the time of form fill-up before each semester.
- Students who fail in any paper or miss a semester examination may appear in alternate semester examinations within six years (UG) from the date of admission.
- Students must clear all backlog papers within six academic years from admission, failing which their course will be discontinued.
Attendance
- A candidate shall be required to attend at least 75% of the lectures in theory and practical classes separately.
- Condonation up to 15% may be granted by the Principal in cases of serious illness, accident, or deputation on official work, with valid certificates.
- An additional 10% condonation may be granted to candidates representing the University/State at recognized events.
- Under no circumstances shall condonation exceed 25%.
Duration of Examinations – Mid Semester & End Semester
- The examination pattern follows CBCS and NEP-2020.
- Under CBCS, each semester has a Mid-Semester (Internal) and End Semester Examination.
- Mid-Semester Examinations are conducted for theory papers only.
- End Semester theory papers carrying full marks above 50 (e.g., 60, 75, 80) shall be of 3 hours duration.
- Practical examinations (full marks 25) shall be of 3 hours duration.
- Under NEP-2020, each semester includes mid-term, end-term, and continuous evaluation (attendance and quizzes).
- Mid and End Semester exams shall be conducted for both theory and practical papers where applicable.

Disciplinary Action Against Malpractice / Misconduct / Indiscipline
Cases of malpractice, misconduct, or indiscipline during examinations shall be placed before the respective Boards of Conducting Examiners. Their reports will be reviewed by the Examination Committee for approval. Penalties will be imposed based on the gravity of the offence.
Declaration of Results
The results of examinations are published by Maa Manikeshwari University, Bhawanipatna after completion of each semester examination. Students can access their results from the University website and the college examination section. Course Completion Certificates and Provisional Certificates will be issued by the University examination section.
